THE PAVILION

Debby Bentch welcomes you to The Pavilion...
A place for people looking for a safe refuge, a little peace, a quiet place to rest.

I am a collector... a "hoarder" of sorts.
I collect photos, quotes, poems, signs and anything that captures my eye creatively or is meaningful to my journey.
I have done this for years. (Who knew that, eventually, I would be sending it out to webspace?)
So, unfortunately, I do not know or remember the source of every work or beautiful example of another's creativity.
Otherwise, I would gladly give credit where credit is due.
Therefore, feel free-if you see something on this site and you know its original author, please let me know.
And thank you in advance.

Unless otherwise noted these are my personal ramblings and random thoughts. "Letters to Jesus" are written to satisfy my own curiosity. So many of the Bible's stories are left without the details my woman's heart desires. So, I have tried to imagine, for myself, what it may have been like to experience life with Jesus during His years on earth.
Enjoy...

The name of my blog, The Pavilion, is my "safe place" to capture the Presence of the LORD. I love the references to pavilions in Scripture and in this hymn, one of my favorites.

O Worship The King

O worship the King, all glorious above,

And gratefully sing His wonderful love:

Our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of Days,

Pavilioned in splendor, and girded with praise.

O tell of His might, and sing of His grace,

Whose robe is the light, Whose canopy space.

His chariots of wrath, the deep thunderclouds form,

And dark is His path on the wings of the storm.

Chorus:

You alone are the matchless King,

To You alone be all majesty.

Your glorious wonders what tongue can recite?

You breathe in the air, You shine in the light.

O measureless might, ineffable love,

While angels delight to worship above.

Thy mercies, how tender, how firm to the end:

Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer and Friend.
